1. Will the 2.0FutureGen be successful?
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful?
1. Will the 2.0FutureGen be successful? - Based off the article, FutrueGen will be successful in at least one state (Illinois), and they are willing to cooperate,“We look forward to working with all of the project partners to see that FutureGen 2.0 will move forward, and that the reality of this first-of-its-kind project will be realized in Illinois.”
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful? - The program could be more successful if it were expanded so the out reach was more than one state. Also, if they managed to go after more than just coal plants, the reach of there cause would be greater.
From what I have read, FutureGen is going to find successful in Illinois since they are super willing to participate.
If the program is expanded and reached out to more places it would probably be more successful. It would also help to go after more sources of pollution rather than just coal
I think the 2.0FutureGen will be successful, but right now it is only going to be implemented in Illinois. If other states were willing to participate, I believe they would also be successful if progress was made in Illinois.
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful?
I think the program should focus on grabbing a larger population than just Illinois. If more states knew about it, there would be a higher chance of them participating. To me, there is not really an issue with the program focusing its efforts toward carbon capture and storage technologies. It would be more beneficial, in my opinion, to improve this one area a lot, than to improve lots of areas only a little bit.
1. 2.0FutureGen will definitely be successful in Illinois and has the potential to be successful in every state but everybody needs to get on the same page.
2. The program should focus on getting people into the idea of carbon capture so that this can be implemented across the nation.
1. The 2.0 FutureGen can be successful. First, it's starting in Illinois but eventually will be successful in hopefully every state, if everyone is willing to work together.
2.Some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful would be expanding to a larger population and try to reach out not only to coal but other resources that cause pollution.
1. 2.0 FutureGen is successful in Illinois and if the others states were willing to cooperate, this program could be successful in other states too.
2. Some improvements would be to try and expand this program into other areas of the country as to have a larger population that would push for this program. Also I think that it's a good thing that right now they're focusing on coal the most as I feel that coal is one of the things that we use the most to produce energy that creates the most pollution.
1. It would seem that the 2.0 FutureGen could be successful. It is doing well in Illinois and if it were to be implemented in other states, it would likely find success as well. 2. The program could improve by expanding to other states and making more people aware of it. Also, they could focus on more areas of pollution other than just coal. However, for now, it seems beneficial to simply focus on coal.
1. Will the 2.0 FutureGen be successful? The 2.0 FutureGen could be successful because it already is successful in Illinois and so if other states that it is implemented in are willing to cooperate with it, it can be successful there too.
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful? Some improvements that could be made would be to try and expand the program throughout the country so that there will be a larger population pushing for it. In addition to this, an improvement could be if in the future it expands to working on types of pollution other than just coal, although for now it is good to just focus on coal.
1. It is likely that 2.0 FutureGen could be successful. This is mostly because of Illinois's willingness to participate. If Illinois succeeds, it is also likely that many other states will follow the example.
2. Currently, FutureGen is only focusing on one state (Illinois) but could be much more successful if they expanded their target. Also, the program could focus on other pollution sources than just coal.
1. The article explains that FutureGen could be very successful. The article also explains that FutureGen will be most successful in Illinois because they are willing to cooperate. However, some improvements need to be make if they want FutureGen to be successful. To become more successful, they could expand to a larger population as well as attempt to apply the program to coal as well as other polluting resources.
2. If the program wished to be exceptionally successful, they could expand their focus other than just Illinois because if more states knew about it, they would be willing to participate. Also, it would be beneficial if they expanded to other resources other than coal as well as made a stride towards carbon capture and storage technology.
1. I think that the Futuregen 2..0 project will be very successful in the future because of its successful past (with Phase I so far) and its role as a solution to a big issue with the world's waste. Although it has only been successful in Illinois so far, if other states are willing to implement it, it could become even more successful and could help in creating a significant reduction in the world's release of carbon.
2. I think that the program could potentially be more successful if it 1) promoted itself and became more popular with other populations in other states in order to make more of a difference in the world and 2) went deeper with itself, in terms of technology and research and possibly looking at other forms of pollution as well.
There is a possibility that futuregen will be successful, as illinois appear to be ecstatic about its potential to be successful.
To be more successful perhaps keep up safe monitoring of the storage, so that th program could take a step further and expand to other states/countries.
1) Anything can be successful. if it ic continues with simular success, there is nothing stopping it
2) More ways the program could be successful include 1) enlarging themselves to a national level, and search for everyday people, not investors, that are willing to go with the program
1. Will the 2.0FutureGen be successful? FutureGen 2.0 project should be very successful due to the success that was seen in the past with the project with the first phase. With more states willing to utilize the FutureGen, then there will be more success.
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful? Some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful include enlarging the FutureGen to a larger scale (getting more states involved), further technological research is conducts, and compliance with people to actually willing to participate in the program.
1. I believe that the Futuregen project will be fairly successfully in the future because it has had a successful past as we were able to see with Phase One, as well as its role being a large solution to a big issue in terms of the waste that we have globally. If other states are willing to implement this project than it can become even more successful and can overall have a large impact in terms of creating a significant reduction in the world's release of pollutants.
2. Some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful would be if it became more well known with people, and spread there name out there more. If they were more popular with other states and global places it could have more of an effect. As well if they did more technological research, and expanded their resources.
1. Will the 2.0FutureGen be successful? I think that, according to facts from this article, the futuregen will be pretty successful because it had such success with Phase one. Also, if other states continue to support it, it will continue to be successful.
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful? Some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful are to educate the population about it. The more people that know about it, the greater effect that it could have. Also, advancing the technology could make it better.
1. Will the 2.0 FutureGen be successful? I think that the 2.0 FutureGen will be successful because phase 1 seems to have been successful and with all the support it is getting chances are that it will be succesful.
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful? The program could be improved by expanding it to more places or improving on the technology they already have.
1. The FutureGen could be successful because it already is successful in Illinois and so if other states that it is implemented in are willing to cooperate with it, it can be successful there as well.

1. The Future gen 2.0 is already successful in Illinois which shows it could be successful in other states, especially if more states are willing to implement it.
2. This program could be improved by expanding to other states and raising awareness within the population. If they did more research they could expand on not just focus on coal.
1. Will the 2.0FutureGen be successful? It is expected to be successful, especially within Illinois, where the research and technology is being well received by the government, who seem willing to try it out at their coal-firing plants. Phase I was also effective.
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful? Expanding the efforts in other parts of the country or world would make the program more successful, allowing for a greater effect on carbon capture and therefore carbon emissions in the US.

1. I believe the 2.0 Future Gen will be successful due to its past success and its ability to help solve global problems. Also since it has been successful in at least one state, if more were willing to participate the project would be successful overall. 2. The programme could be more successful if it were promoted more and made popular in more areas, as well if its technology and research looked into other forms of pollution as well.
1. Will the 2.0FutureGen be successful? The science is absolutely there. Of course, whatever form of carbon is ultimately produced is still a storage, and likely not a natural one. So it's a bandaid and could have consequences later, but it may be better than gaseous CO2 for now.
2. What are some improvements that could be made to make the program more successful? Biological solutions may be better than chemical solutions because the carbon could be replaced into the carbon cycle and reused instead of creating these odd storages buried uderground.
